ESTABLISHMENT
HANOI CENTRE FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGE AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING (short for HAVETCO) has gone through a number of significant

developments. In 1995, the company started from an Educational Department, which belongs to a Centre for Psychological and Educational Scientific Application.

With the growing demands of studying abroad, the Educational Department became a limited company , license no.755/CV by Ministry of Education and Training in 1997.

Over the years, the company has expanded its operations and become one of the biggest educational and vocational companies in Vietnam with presence in two main cities: Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city and three branchs in England, France, Germany. In 2003, Havetco already set up CONCORD Language Training Center which provides students with English anf French caurses.


EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

1- PROVIDE FREE EDUCATIONAL COUNSELING
HAVETCO is very proud of its educational services. We provide free educational counseling services for our Vietnamese students. Before applying for any courses, students will be arranged to meet up with our Educational couseling team. The aim of this meeting is to find out the background, the English or French level, as well as the ambition of the students in studying abroad. Once we have enough information about students, our staff will advise students with the courses, which are most suitable with their qualifications.

2- GUIDE STUDENTS IN COMPLETING NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND APPY FOR A VISA
In the course of completing the application, students have to have all Vietnamese documents as Academic transcripts, family financial status and parents'job certifications and other related documents need translating into English or French. At HAVETCO, students will receive fully help for this procedure and they only need to pay some certain fees, which are stipulated by Vietnamese authority.

On behalf of students, we also contact the college or university where students will be studying to get the letter of acceptance for the visa purpose. HAVETCO will submit the completed application forms to the related Embassy on behalf of students and prepare students for the interviews.

We co-orporate with College/ or University to arrange the accomodation/Guardian and airport pick up for students once their visas have been issued. In some countries where accomodation is more difficult than the others such as in London and colleges may not be able to arrange it, our reprsentative abroad can help students with this and make sure that students arrive safely.


STRATEGIES IN RECRUITING STUDENTS

Over the past years, HAVETCO has been buliding up an effective network of customers as well as relationships with many high schools, colleges and universities in Vietnam.

This is because of our high quality of educational services and trust achieved from our customers.

1- RECRUIT STUDENTS DIRECTLY FROM HIGH SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES
Our sudents are very diversified and ranged from secondary schools pupils up to Ph.D students. Therefore, every year, we organize Education Exhibitions, seminars in high schools, colleges and universites with the view of giving pupils/students whom with to study a abroad comprehensive picture about International Educational Systems in
developed countries. We also guide them how they should start to prepare for their long-term studies and careers and advise them the necessery documents for studying overseas.

Apart from that, HAVECO tries to support pupils/students who have top records of studies in high schools/universities by granting them scholarships that are aware by foreign colleges or universities. The types of scholarships are very different, ranging from 100% scholarship to some discounts in the tuition fees for the English course or Academic programmes.

Through these activities, students will have an idea of how and why to study abroad. They can come and visit us for further information.

2- CO-OPERATE WITH FOREIGN INSTITUTIONS IN HOLDING EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS
This is one of very effective ways in recruiting students all over the country. We normally invite foreign institutions to come to Vietnam and running seminars with us. This is also a good opportunity for the instution to introduce their educational system as well as courses, and supports that is provided by the institutions to Vietnamses students.

By doing this, the institutions can speak directly with students, interview them and authorise HAVETCO to follow up the feedback afterwards.

3- A MEMBER OF VIECA
VIECA is the Vietnamese International Education Consultants Association. Every year, the Association organizes the Education fairs for international institutions in the world. This is the chance for International institutions, Agents, and students to meet up each other for Education information.

4- PARTICIPATING IN OTHER VIETNAMESES BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS
In Vietnam, the close relationships with customers and business associations are really important as a successful busuiness can be built up based on good words of mouth and expansion of customer network, particularly in high-income environtment. For this reason, HAVETCO has been keeping in touch with existing customers and joining
different business associations such as Hanoi Trading Association, Leisure Center and recently become a significant shareholder of the Open University in Vietnam.
